I hate mornings.

Which is a suprise, because Elves are supposed to be happy and cheerful, love the dawn, love the flowers and the birds and the bees. That's what everyone tells me at least. Feh.

Stupid Dwarf, this is his fault. Shouldn't have let him drink so much.

By the Queen my head hurts. There's something Elves aren't supposed to be - Hung Over.

Shouldn't have drunk so much myself.

Last night is all a blur - drinking at the Galloping Bandit with everyone. God, I think I hit on the serving wench.

Of course when we woke up there was the contract, with all our signatures. Saying we'd agreed to go and investigate these ruins by some town named Winterhaven for some guy named "Parle Cranewing". For 300 gold pieces. Total, not each.

I hate being drunk more than I hate mornings. Hang overs are still the worst tho.

Stupid Dwarf, it's his fault I'm out here, walking down this road. Of course the sun is shining, and the birds are chirping. Awesome.

...

Tripped over a cobblestone. Stupid Dwarf.

...

Oh great, ambushed by Kobolds. I hope no one hears about this.

...

Wow, everyone else must feel as wretched as me - we almost got our butt kicked by Kobolds. Everyone survived tho (pity the Dwarf did) and no one was badly hurt. We even found a few silver on the bodies, but I lost my lucky dagger. Don't know how that happened.

We've made it to Winterhaven. Tiny place, but at least it's got a good name. We were so preoccupied talking we almost walked right by the guard. He didn't seem to mind, I bet he gets that all the time. He told us to try Wraftin's Inn, gave us directions. We definitely made an impression - gawking at the town like tourists. The Halfling started hitting on the Dwarf when we were talking about sleeping arrangements - I think she must have gotten hit harder on the head than we though when the Kobolds ambushed us. This should be amusing.

Of course the Dwarf ordered beer (loudly and rudely!) as soon as we got in the Inn. Stupid Dwarf. Doesn't he remember what happened last night? And he can't tell a human female from a human male. Hope the innkeeper doesn't put anything too nasty in his bed (for the Halfling's sake) she looks nasty. We got rooms sorted out, Keeri and I are sharing a suite, the others are... huh, I don't really know. Don't care. Just knowing that the Dwarf and the Halfling are going to share a bed (to "cut costs") is enough. Met up with everyone again in the common room. Dwarf has already finished 2 pitchers of ale. Had some dinner, hung up our "Adventures looking for work" shingle - have to find some more work if this is going to be profitable. Let the others talk to people while I helped the Dwarf guard the ale.

...

Stupid Dwarf, 8 pitchers of ale. Where does he put it all?

Wait, don't want to know.

...

I hate mornings.

Hang over again this morning. Stupid Dwarf. Hope the Halfling enjoyed looking after the Dwarf last night.

On the road again. Apparently the party thought it would be profitable to go kill the rest of the stupid stinking Kobolds. And we're supposed to watch out for some guy. Who's trying to dig up a dragon. Or something.

I bet we get ambushed by Kobolds again.

...

Yup.

...

Well, was a long fight, but we got them all. They were lead by some kind of dragon priest kobold, but he died under my blade the same as the rest. Found an obsidian statue with the symbol of Orcus stamped in the bottom. That's... kinda disturbing.

Maybe I should start paying attention.
