After last week, which was pretty horrible and filled with stress, this week has been…. shiny?
Monday: New job. I start this Monday. It means I won’t get Wednesdays off anymore, but I get a (considerable) pay raise and I won’t be working for Convergys anymore. (Writing this on my last day at work, it’s NICE). Seri and I put an application in for a duplex and then went out for a celebratory dinner with friends.
Tuesday: After stressing for most of the day, our application was approved. We now have a place to live, and it is good. We’re moving further north, to Church Ave (2 blocks south of Pendragon, behind where the Wendy’s used to be). It’s an upper duplex, so we’ll have people living below, but we’ll have plenty of room. And a garage. Sign the papers on Saturday and give the land lord our …

The story wrote itself rather differently from what I’d been planning. I’d originally wanted to go with more of a swashbuckling style. Something in the vein of the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser stories. (If you haven’t read, and you’re looking for some good swords and sorcery fantasy, lemme know and I’ll lend you the books.)
We play again this weekend.

Still having problems bridging the forums and blog user database - might not be feasable at this point. We’ll see.
I’ve got the import from my shared google reader items working, but not perfectly - I want to excerpt anything I share from there, so the whole article isn’t published, just the first 100 words or so.
Also having some problems with file permissions - too tired to mess with chmod right now, will fix that later.
Aside from the site issues… I’ve had a weird week. I ended my 3 year old 3.5 D&D game last Saturday. The week proper started off pretty bad, but it’s gotten better towards the end of the week. I have hope for Monday. Tomorrow Robin and I are off house hunting then gaming (Keep on the Shadowfell - wow, I get to play for a change! :p)

Wiki set up
Single signon for Blog/forums/wiki
As things stand I have several promising plugins to try for feed integration. I’ve found the unofficial bridge for Wp-SMF single signon, but it’s not working. I also need to decide if I’m staying with Dokuwiki or switching to different wiki software.
Once I have the basic functionality I’ll open the site completely. I’ll probably spend a month or two playing with themes and deciding how I’m going to handle things like file sharing but that’s nothing major.

It seems this is a time for fresh starts. Yes, the old site is gone, but I’m working on putting together something better.
Comments are open, but since we’re still in a state of flux I can’t promise I won’t wipe the site and start over.
